FAHR participates in the session of “Innovation to Achieve the UAE 2031 Vision” at the conclusion of the UAE Hackathon

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) participated in the forum titled “Today’s Challenges and Solutions for Tomorrow”, which was recently held by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), at the University City Hall in Sharjah, as part of the closing ceremony of the seventh edition of the UAE Hackathon 2024.

Meitha Ahmed Kolthoum, Director of the Strategy and Future Department, represented FAHR in a dialogue session titled “Innovation as a Catalyst for Achieving the UAE 2031 Vision,” along with a number of speakers who are specialists from international companies and local institutions.

In her intervention, she reviewed FAHR’s strategy towards innovation and leveraging artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in serving the government human resources system, stating that flexibility and innovation are the main drivers of the comprehensive development journey of human resources systems and legislation in the federal government.

Meitha touched on a number of the FAHR’s strategic and transformational initiatives, which would enhance the readiness of government talent and empower them with the skills of the future, such as the “Jahiz” digital platform for the future of government talent, which focuses on developing four main skills, namely: digital skills, data skills and artificial intelligence, New Economy Skills, 10X Skills.

She stressed FAHR’s keenness to automate all human resources systems and legislation, and to grant federal agencies sufficient flexibility for creativity and innovation when implementing human resources policies, and its keenness to consider their development insights for its services on a permanent basis.

She pointed out that FAHR considers the user experience when developing electronic systems, builds the best modern technologies, and invests in generative artificial intelligence, especially in its smart application and the human resources information management system in the federal government “Bayanati”, as electronic systems are characterized by sufficient flexibility and the ability to customize them according to the requirements of federal authorities and employees.

The closing ceremony of the UAE Hackathon was held in the presence of Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, Engineer Majid Sultan Al Mesmar, Director General of the Communications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, and representatives of government entities and TDRA’s strategic partners in government, academic and private entities .
