FAHR: “Jahiz” for the Future of Government Talents is unique as an idea and in its skills set

The Federal Authority for GovernmentHuman Resources (FAHR) launched many distinctive initiatives, but “Jahiz”initiative for the future of government talent remains the most prominent, andoccupies a prominent position compared to others, in terms of the idea itselfand the skills quality.
This uniqueness of “Jahiz”did not come out of nowhere. Since its launch in late 2022, it has constituteda qualitative addition for ministries, federal entities and their employees,considering it the first skills incubator for them, as the largest digitalgovernment platform that empowers them to acquire skills for the future andenhances their readiness for it.
“Jahiz” Platform providesfederal government employees with specialized content in Arabic and English,and provides each employee with his own digital portfolio that includes theskills of the future and is linked to job performance, thus forming a new modelfor government work that focuses on raising the levels of readiness of theworkforce for the future and boosting its participation in implementing visionsof the leadership, by building a future government model that raises levels ofgovernment performance, productivity and efficiency.
It is one of the majortransformational government projects led by FAHR, with the aim of empoweringhuman capital in the federal government, building its future skills, enhancingits ability to innovate, and employing modern technology, in a way thatenhances the performance and competitiveness of the UAE government, andreflects positively on society.
“Jahiz” targets allleadership and functional levels, and seeks to enable government talents tokeep pace with the rapid future changes and requirements of the global labourmarket, and to understand new topics and emerging fields that will have asignificant impact on shaping the future.
The initiative covers 4 main sets offuture skills, including: digital skills, data and artificial intelligenceskills, new economy skills, and X10 skills; it includes 20 sub-skills, and morethan 90 skill programs.
