In Pink October, FAHR raises awareness of breast cancer
In conjunction with Pink October – the global month for breast cancer awareness – the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) held a breast cancer awareness workshop, with the aim of raising awareness and encouraging early screening and prevention, in line with national efforts to combat cancer.
The interactive workshop was held virtually, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority, under the theme “Your health is more valuable… Get yourself checked today”, with the participation of more than 40 female employees from FAHR.
The workshop focused on raising awareness of breast cancer and ways to prevent it, with the interventions of two speakers: Amina Malallah Ghanem, a specialist at the Health Authority, and Suha Noufal, a nutritionist at Dubai Health.
The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of breast cancer, the importance of regular check-ups for early detection, information about risk factors associated with the disease, and lifestyle that can play a role in mitigating this risk. It focused on raising community awareness and encouraging prevention and early detection of the disease to help women discover the disease in its early stages and increase the chances of treatment and recovery.
