To Mainstream a Corporate Culture and a Business Model, “Jahiz” launches the “Zero Bureaucracy Track”

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), in collaboration with the Zero Bureaucracy Program at the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, has launched the Zero Bureaucracy Track within the “Jahiz” platform, which promotes future skills in the Federal Government -Dubai – November 20, 2024.

The track aims to empower Federal Government employees with the skills and capabilities of zeroing bureaucracy and understand the tools that help them implement the program and achieve its main objectives, which are to eliminate two thousand unnecessary government procedures, reduce at least 50% of procedure timelines, and zero all duplicate and unnecessary requirements.

Inspiring Culture

Her Excellency Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future said: “Under the guidance of the wise leadership, the UAE government has transformed zero bureaucracy into a new corporate work culture and an inspiring model for the world in government development, to enhance efficiency and performance, accelerate services, and flexibility in dealing with changes”.

HE added: “The new track in the Jahiz Program seeks to widely institutionalize the idea and culture of zero bureaucracy and make it an essential component in the daily development of government and digital work, across all functional levels and work teams in the UAE Government, with the aim of speeding the performance, quality in achievement, and enhancing the levels of efficiency and governmental flexibility to achieve government, digital and development leaps and reflect on the quality of human life and the UAE’s position as the best country to live, work and settle in”.

H.E. Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, stressed the importance of the partnership with Jahiz Platform in empowering national cadres with the knowledge and skills required to actively participate in the efforts of government agencies to achieve the goals of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Program.

She added that the Zero Government Bureaucracy Program reflects the UAE Leadership’s vision and directions for the future of leadership in government work, and translates its focus on facilitating the lives of individuals and enhancing the quality of life of the community by developing the best and most efficient government solutions, services, policies and procedures, in order to achieve the axes and objectives of the “We the UAE 2031” Vision.

Key Supporter

H.E. Eng. Mohamed BinTaliah, Chief of Government Services at the UAE Government, emphasized that zero bureaucracy is a key supporter in translating the Leadership’s directives to make a qualitative leap in accelerating and shortening procedures and enhancing the experience of obtaining government services, stressing the importance of the partnership with Jahiz Platform in expanding the circle of participation, increasing the effectiveness of the work of entities, and accelerating the achievement of the Zero Bureaucracy Program’s objectives.

He added that the Zero Bureaucracy track, offered through the Platform, will enable UAE government employees to learn about the program’s features and enhance their capabilities through a knowledge journey that covers the stages of zero bureaucracy, from identifying procedures to achieving the best results.

Skills for the future

Her Excellency Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, explained that by following the training program through the “Jahiz” Platform, government employees can enable their entities to adopt and implement the Zero Bureaucracy Program effectively and achieve its objectives related to being a National Business Model that aims to make a qualitative and exceptional shift in government procedures and reach the simplest, fastest, easiest and most efficient procedures in the world.

Her Excellency pointed out that the p zero bureaucracy is an ongoing process that does not stop seeking to reduce unnecessary burdens on the business sector and individuals, which is why it is important to involve the business sector, individuals, employees and teams of federal agencies to contribute to the success of the Zero Bureaucracy Program.

Courses and principles

The Zero Government Bureaucracy Program development track on the “Jahiz” Platform includes a set of courses that cover the general principles of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Program, which was launched during the UAE Government’s annual meetings in November 2023, namely removing every unnecessary step in government procedures, terms, and requirements for the business sector and individuals, focusing on zeroing out priority government procedures, terms, and requirements, ensuring diversity and inclusiveness in zeroing out government procedures, terms, and requirements, establishing a corporate culture based on reducing and facilitating procedures.  Additionally, to engage all concerned groups from the business sector, individuals and employees in the development of government procedures and requirements, maintain security, health and safety standards and levels when zeroing these procedures, design and implement projects and initiatives jointly with the concerned government entities to ensure zero government bureaucracy, competition among federal entities to achieve advanced ranks in zero government bureaucracy, and encouraging and honoring qualitative contributions from all parties involved in zero government bureaucracy.
