The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) recently organized the Seventh Happiness Breakfast Gathering in 2017 for its employees. The event provides an opportunity for the Director of the Authority to meet with senior staff members and employees from various sectors and departments to review the achievements of the Authority during the last period, ensure readiness of the departments and teams for future events as well as honor outstanding teams and employees.
During the ceremony, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Director General of the Authority welcomed the new staff members and honored the employee Halima Al Qubaisi from Department of Strategy and Future for winning the Positive Employee Award for the month of June. He also honoured award winners under Reward Incentive System for the months of June and July.
Recognizing useful suggestions
Dr Abdul Rahman also recognized some employees who presented useful suggestions to FAHR under ‘My Gov’ gateway, namely: Hanan Ben Naseef for her proposal to exempt kids of low income families from nursery fees in the federal government, and to create a monthly electronic newsletter for "Imtyazat" initiative; and Sheikha Mohammed, for her suggestion to distribute human resource procedures to employees.
Launch of an e-newsletter for "Imtyazat" initiative
Happiness Breakfast Gathering featured the launch of the first monthly e-newsletter of the federal government employees’ discount program Imtyazat in a new format. It should be noted that the program, which is the largest of its kind in the country, aims at coordinating with the private sector companies to sign partnerships with the Authority whereby exclusive discounts are offered to federal government employees and their families at preferential prices to federal government employees and their families, with the objective of creating a positive work environment for employees of ministries and federal entities, thus contributing to their job satisfaction- and happiness.
Hanan bin Naseef, Deputy Director of Government Communication, reviewed the main objectives of the e-newsletter, its contents, design and frequency.
“It contains a brief overview of the latest developments of Imtyazat initiative, the most prominent offers granted to the federal government employees, companies that have joined the program recently, and mechanism of connecting with them”, she said, noting that the Authority has circulated the publication to all employees of ministries and federal bodies via HR management information system in the federal government "BAYANATI", and through the various accounts on social networking sites, in addition to uploading it on its website www.fahr.gov.ae.
