FAHR launches an updated version of its Smart Application FAHR

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has launched an updated version of its application (FAHR), which includes 27 key and sub-services that benefit Federal Government employees by assisting them in completing their own HR procedures on their own, as well as enabling training providers in the country to join the "Ma’arif" initiative for the Federal Government’s preferred training partners, and allowing opportunity for private sector companies to join the Federal Government Employees’ discount program "Imtyazat".

The announcement was made during a press conference held recently in Dubai, in the presence of HE Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Balhoul Al-Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education and Advanced Skills, Chairman of FAHR, HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Director General of FAHR, HE Aisha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Human Resources Policies Sector, HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & Human Resources Planning Sector, Shaimaa Al Awadhi, Director of Human Resources Information System, in addition to a number of FAHR senior officials and representatives of the local media.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar: FAHR's application keeps abreast of BAYANATI System’s rapid development

In this regard, HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Awar said that the Authority seeks to keep abreast of the rapid changes and developments witnessed by the Human Resources Management Information System (BAYANATI) applied in the Federal Government, noting that the Smart App (FAHR) provides distinguished services to more than 100,000 employees working for 64 ministries and federal entities.

“The most important of these services are those related to the BAYANATI system, the Federal Government’s preferred training partners initiative (Ma’arif), the Federal Government employees’ discount (Imtyazat), the Legal Consultancy Program and the Federal Government Employees Network”, he noted.

The Director General added: “The new version of Smart Application (FAHR) has undergone several improvements and changes, through which the Authority aims to enrich the users’ experience and enable them to access services in a smooth and time-saving manner. The user can choose a preferred list of services that are easily accessible when needed, highlight the technical support service and place it in the main interface of the application, then add color blindness friendly feature”.

According to HE Dr  Abdulrahman Al-Awar, the Smart Application provides a package of services to all of the Authority’s customers and external public. These include information on availability of vacancies in the Federal Government, as well as facilitating the search for these vacancies, review the vacancies applied for, seek legal advice, submit objections, and access Frequently Asked Questions about Federal Government’s human resources policies, legislation and systems. The services also include requesting technical support to assist ministries and federal bodies in implementing various human resources procedures, registration as a service provider in Imtyazat Program and "Maárif" initiative, as well as  communicate with the Authority and learn about its future activities.

Shaimaa Al-Awadhi: The application provides HR Dashboard for employees and line managers

Shahema Al Awadhi, Director of Human Resources Information System, said that App FAHR allows the Federal Government employees and officials to register for participation in training courses and programs through the electronic Training & Development System, provides two HR dashboards, one for the employee and the other for the line manager, facilitates direct communication with the Authority's leadership, especially with regard to nomination of Federal Government employees for awards under Rewards & Incentives System, and access to employee leave balance. In addition, the application provides other valuable services for employees, who can apply for, cancel or track leaves; produce salary and to Whom It May Concern certificates, update employee personal data, etc.

She said: “The updated version of the application also enables employees of ministries and federal bodies to review their monthly salary details, extract salary certificate, update employee personal data, legal advice enquiry, apply to Federal Objections Committee, and take advantage of discounts offered under Imtyazat program to Federal Government employees.

“App FAHR also allows the completion of employee evaluation under   Performance Management System by the employee himself or by the  direct supervisor, in addition to the possibility of accessing the details of the employee's previous performance documents, enabling the  employees to delete and modify their personal goals and share them with the direct supervisor, and send the electronic ‘’Maqassert’ (thank you) card to the employees of ministries and federal agencies, in the form of one group’’.

HR Dashboard for employees and line managers

Al Awadhi added: “Smart Application (FAHR) also provides a smart dashboard for use by employees of ministries and federal entities, including 11 indicators, the most important of which are: total leave balance, number of certificates requested and issued, approved leaves, unapproved absences, years of service, and percentage of smart app. usage, compared to self-service through BAYANATI system”.

As the line manager’s dashboard, Al Awadhi said that it includes   the number of absentees, pending leave applications, employee attendance, number of training applications, percentage of completion of annual performance cycles, number of staff completing individual development plan, number of staff in probation period, number of staff getting awards under Rewards & Incentives program in the Federal Government, and percentage of employees whose data have been completed in BAYANATI system.

40 thousand downloads and 93 thousand procedures

Shaima Al-Awadhi explained that since the launch of the Smart Application (FAHR), it has been downloaded more than 40 thousand times, while  93 thousand procedures have been completed by the Federal Government employees through the application.
