Evaluation and description of 97% of Federal Government Jobs

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) revealed that the Federal Job Evaluation & Description Committee (FJEDC) has finalized since its inception in 2014 up to December 2017, the endorsement of job titles for around 97% of the total Federal Government jobs enlisted in the HR Management Information System (BAYANATI). The statement confirmed that the Job Evaluation & Description project is expected to be completed at the end of 2017.

In this regard, HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning Sector at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, explained that FJEDC has finalized the endorsement of 97% of the total Federal Government jobs enlisted in BAYANATI System, or 1171 out the total job titles amounting to 1206.  

She said that 68 percent of the total Federal Government jobs dealt with were classified as main jobs, compared to 23 percent for support services jobs, 5 percent for senior leadership positions and 4 percent for assistance jobs.

Laila Al Suwaidi added that the FJEDC held its 26th meeting at FAHR main office in Dubai, indicating that 806 of the total jobs endorsed were classified as specialist an main, compared to 341 support and assistance jobs.

She shed light on the responsibilities of the FCJEC which include providing support for the internal evaluation committees in the federal government entities, to ensure proper implementation of job evaluation and description processes. In addition, the committee is responsible for endorsing the results of job evaluations conducted by internal job evaluation committees in federal entities after reviewing the numbers of employees in federal entities according to the organizational structures approved for each entity.

FCJEC membership comprises of the following: HE Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Control & Support Services, Deputy-Chairman, HE Mariam Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance for the Management of Financial Resources, HE Saif Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization for Human Resources, HE Awad Al Kotobii, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Support Services, HE Aisha Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of HR Policies at FAHR; HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning at FAHR .
