The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has recently launched its first community initiative to mark Year of Zayed by handing over 50 computers, printers and storage units to the Digital Rehabilitation Center of Dubai Municipality. The move also came in support of PCs rehabilitation project implemented by the Municipality to donate them within and outside the country.
Mahmoud Al Marzouqi, Director of the Government Communication Department, FAHR, presented Dubai Municipality's representatives with technical equipment and supplies. He commented that the Authority spares no effort to support the community and humanitarian initiatives launched by governmental, semi-governmental and private institutions, including PCs rehabilitation project launched by Dubai Municipality.
Dubai Municipality has a program for revamping of computers and laptops. The initiative is for individuals, institutions and the general public to generously donate second-hand, damaged or discarded computers to the center. The items, after the necessary repairs, will be donated to educational institutions, social and charity organization. So be part of this great project. Participating in this program is Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment wholly responsible for distribution of these deices to people in need, plus Microsoft for technical support.
Al Marzouqi said: “The initiative is the first of its kind this year. FAHR has recently launched its social and humanitarian plan for the Year of Zayed, which includes 30 community initiatives and events planned to be implemented this year in response to declaration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 2018 as Year of Zayed, and celebrated as a national occasion for the UAE.
“These include providing free training for employees in ministries and federal entities under "Ma’aref" initiative for the Federal Government’s preferred training partners. Year of Zayed will also witness offering special discounts for Federal Government employees under Imtyazat Program, activating volunteering campaign in coordination with government and private institutions, and launching Charitable Giving campaign, which comprises a series of voluntary and charitable initiatives, such as: "Winter Warmth", "Sanadhom Amanah" and "Contribute to their Education" .
