The Authority has prepared lists of those who wish to participate and volunteer in community initiatives and voluntary campaigns organized separately or in cooperation with one of its partner charitable organizations and volunteer groups. The lists include employees from the Federal Government and all sectors of the country.
In this regard, Hanan Mohammed bin Naseef, Deputy Director of Government Communication at the Authority, said that participation is open for all Federal Government employees and members of the community, who are willing to join the charitable and voluntary campaigns organized by the Authority, or conducted by its government or private sector partners for the benefit of the UAE community.
She indicated that the Authority has allocated several channels for persons wishing to register their names and their data in the list of volunteers, including: the official contact center number 600525524, Authority’s official e-mail, and various accounts on social networking sites "Twitter and Instagram” , as well as workshops and various events organized by the Authority at the level of the Federal Government.
Hanan pointed out that the step reflects the keenness of the Authority to involve the members of the society and the employees of the ministries and federal bodies in proposing and implementing humanitarian and community initiatives, thus supporting the initiative of His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, declaring 2017 as year of Giving.
The Authority had surveyed earlier this year the views of officials at the ministries and federal entities on the humanitarian and community initiatives that they wish to be implemented at the level of the Federal Government in 2017. The survey was conducted using an electronic questionnaire circulated to employees via the HR Management Information System "BAYANATI" applied in the Federal Government,
The e-poll received an enthusiastic response by Federal Government employees who showed a high sense of community responsibility and awareness of the importance of community and humanitarian initiatives in promoting the values of compassion, tolerance and cohesion among all groups and members of society.
The number of participants in the survey was 625 employees from various ministries and federal entities, who proposed implementing a package of charitable initiatives and humanitarian campaigns inside and outside the country, many of them expressing a desire to volunteer and participate in community and humanitarian initiatives carried out at the state level.
Through its community initiatives, the Authority seeks to maximize the benefits within and outside the country, consolidate the values of volunteerism and philanthropy, enhance the spirit of social responsibility, and instil values of loyalty and workplace happiness by volunteering.
