The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), launched on Monday, in cooperation with Dar Al-Bir Society, "Shitahom Dafi" charity initiative to provide workers in Dubai with clothes and winter necessities purchased from charitable donations by federal government employees. The campaign was part of the Authority’s humanitarian initiatives to mark the Year of Zayed.
During the initiative, federal government employees distributed winter clothing and necessities to 350 workers from several companies in Al Quoz Industrial Area. The event was attended by dozens of employees of the Authority and ministries of Education and Infrastructure Development.
Hanan Mohammed bin Naseef, Deputy Director of Government Communications, FAHR, explained that the campaign reflected the Authority's keenness on abiding by the concept of social responsibility through launching humanitarian initiatives that benefit various segments of society. She underlined the importance of Shafiham Dafi campaign, as it supports one of the neediest segments of the society: workers.
She said: “The initiative comes in response to declaration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 2018 as Year of Zayed. In this context, FAHR has launched its Humanitarian Response Plan for the Year of Zayed, which includes 30 community initiatives and events to be implemented during the year.
“The Authority intends to launch several qualitative and value-added community initiatives, including: providing free training for employees in ministries and federal entities under "Ma’aref" initiative for the Federal Government’s preferred training partners.
