The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced the start of entering sick leaves of employees of ministries and federal entities operating HR Management Information System in the Federal Government "BAYANATI" automatically in the system immediately after their issuance and ratification through the electronic system of the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
HE Laila Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Programs & HR Planning Sector, explained that the Authority and the Ministry of Health and Prevention have recently developed a mechanism to link BAYANATI system with the Ministry of Health’s electronic system, in order to enter sick leaves of employees working for the ministries and federal entities operating BAYANATI automatically in the system once they have been issued and approved by the Ministry’s system. She stressed that the process takes place without any human intervention, by comparing the patient’s national ID number and name to verify his identity, and then approve the sick leave in BAYANATI system according to the procedure followed at each entity.
She said: “The new mechanism for automating sick leaves will benefit 42 ministries and federal entities with 62,000 employees. It will also reduce the number of steps required to produce sick leaves via BAYANATI system from 6 steps to only 3, which will greatly speed up and simplify procedures, and ensure accuracy, as well as help preserve the environment and eliminate illegal practices, such as attaching uncertified leaves.
“BAYANATI system helps effective management of human resources supported by accurate statistics. It is one of the best practices that have been used to serve and develop human resources departments in ministries and federal entities, in order to improve their performance in accordance with international best practices and standards, as well as simplify administrative procedures and financial operations associated with them. This will make things easier and save time and effort.”
The Executive Director of Programs and HR Planning Sector stressed the importance of BAYANATI System describing it as a qualitative leap in the world of smart government applications to provide significant services for human resource departments in the ministries and federal bodies and the employees themselves. It covers all human resource procedures, in addition to wages and salaries, in a fully automated manner, starting from the appointment of an employee until his retirement.
