Monday April 05, 2021

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, in cooperation with Dar Al Ber Society, recently launched Iftar Sayim (Feeding Fasting Persons) Initiative to provide thousands of daily meals to workers during the holy month of Ramadan.

In this regard, Mahmoud Al Marzouqi, Director of Government Communications at the Authority, explained that the Iftar Sayim Initiative is part of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the Authority during the blessed month of Ramadan and included on its annual agenda for social responsibility initiatives.

“The agenda also includes the launch of Ramadan Mir Initiative,” said Al Marzouqi, “The latter initiative aims to distribute Ramadan Mir to needy families within the country, and to launch a Zakat collection campaign.”

He stated that Iftar Sayim Initiative comes under the existing cooperation between the Authority and Dar Al-Ber Society, and reflects the two sides' keenness to provide support and assistance to workers, by distributing  thousands of daily Iftar and Suhoor meals for them during the blessed month.

Mahmoud Al Marzouq added: “Securing meals for fasting workers is the least that could be done to this important category, especially in light of the exceptional economic conditions now hitting the whole world,  due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, and the decision by relevant authorities in the country to cancel all Ramadan tents permits this year, as part of the efforts to contain the pandemic.”

He explained that the Authority has publicized the campaign at the Federal Government level through the Federal Government’s HR  Management Information System ‘Bayanati’, as well as its various accounts in social media.

He called on all members of society to support the campaign, and donate 10 dirhams by sending the word “Satim” in an SMS via Etisalat or du to the number 2289, or 20 dirhams by sending the same word to the number 6025, or 50 dirhams to the number 2252, or 100 dirhams to 6027, or 200 dirhams to 6026.
