130 employees take part in 5 workshops specialized in human capital development as part of Ma’aref Forum

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources held today Monday five specialized workshops attended by about 130 employees from Federal and Local Governments as part of the events of the 2nd day of Ma’aref Fair and Forum for Training and Development 2018, which started yesterday Sunday and lasting until Thursday with the participation of hundreds of employees from Federal and Local Governments and about 50 preferred training providers of the Federal government.

Lola Al Marzooqi, Director of Human Resources Planning Department explained that Ma’aref Fair and Forum for Training and Development is a strategic platform for showcasing and discussing the latest systems and techniques for employees` training and development of their capabilities and professional behavior skills, as well as an opportunity for meeting experts and specialists in education and training, which focuses on training at workplace.

 She stated that FAHR conducted on the 2nd day of Ma’aref Fair and Forum for Training and Development and in collaboration with a number of its partners as part of Ma’aref Initiative on preferred training partners in Federal Government, five specialized workshops from which about 130 employees working for Ministries, Federal entities and Local Governments Organizations, have benefited.

Al Marzooqi affirmed that the workshops discussed a set of important issues relevant to the development of human capital and ways of employing modern technological revolution in training and development. The 1st workshop, which was delivered by Learnactive Institute, focused on introducing the participants to the latest electronic trends in training and development, the more popular and usable platforms for learning purposes, role of technology in developing workers` skills and capabilities, successful application of electronic learning in Business organizations and application constraints at some organizations and steps for building corporate culture.

She added that the 2nd workshop titled “Basic Concepts in Human Resources Management” was delivered by Progress Training & Consultancy focusing on providing the attendance with modern knowledge, policies and practices relevant to human resources management and the development of their skills  for planning and implementing human resources policies and systems, different types of training and the influential factors on its success and concept and mechanism for determining employees` training needs.

 Al Marzooqi pointed out that the 3rd workshop titled “Training and development Best Practices using Training Games Technique, at which the Institute of Vocation Innovation (Tafkeer) focused on introducing the participants to the most prominent ways for creating a favorable and incentive working environment for the employees including (motivate employees to summit distinguished and innovative ideas and suggestions, provide equal opportunities for employees` improvement and development of their capabilities in continuous consultation with them taking into consideration cultural diversity and individual differences among employees.

Lola Al Marzooqi, Director of Human Resources Planning Department indicated that the other workshops introduced the employees of the federal and Local Governments to training and development strategy using Virtual Reality, Balance Score Card Perspectives, Performance Excellence and performance indicators.

Ma’aref Initiative on Preferred Training Partners in Federal Government, which was launched in 2013, is the first of its kind at the Federal Government level where a list of the preferred training providers in UAE has been prepared and made available to Ministries and Federal entities in order to make use of the training programmes at competitive prices.

Ma’aref Initiative aims at establish a partnership based on social responsibility and serving the mutual interests the government and private sectors. Guarantee providing high quality training for around 84,000 employees working in 56 Ministries and Federal entities. Meet the training needs in accordance with the training and development system of the Federal Government employees. Achieve a financial surplus from the training budgets of Federal entities, and serve the maximum number of employees. Enhance the competence and productivity of the Federal Government, and create a favourable business environment therein. Assist Federal entities to select training courses online, in accordance with predefined time frames.
