The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), recently launched a new service for human resource employees and officials in the ministries and federal entities operating HR Management Information System in the Federal Government "Bayanati". The new service helps in displaying and exporting the job description card, approved by the Federal Committee for Job Evaluation and Description, for each federal entity through Bayanati system. It also provides an electronic feature to the employees of ministries and federal entities with regard to their job descriptions and tasks using self-service system in Bayanati system.
In this regard, Iman Malik, Head of Government HR Planning Department at the Authority explained that displaying and exporting job description card via Bayanati system is available to all employees of ministries and federal entities operating the system. She added that the new service enables human resources officials to obtain job descriptions for job titles approved by a federal entity, as well as allowing employees in federal entities to view their job descriptions without the need to refer to HR departments in their workplace.
She said: “The Authority recently held two virtual workshops to introduce the new service, which was followed by dozens of human resources officials and employees of the ministries and federal bodies.
“The electronic system for endorsing job descriptions in accordance with the approved standards in the Federal Government Job Evaluation and Description System, which was launched by the Authority in 2016, benefits more than 40,000 federal employees working in 37 ministries and entities operating Bayanati system. It contributes to support the workflow, ensures the quality and accuracy of descriptions, accelerates the process of job evaluation and description in the Federal Government and facilitates building career paths.”
She pointed out that over 4 years of hard work, the Authority has managed to enter nearly 4,500 job descriptions in Bayanati system, classified under more than 60 career paths and 20 job families at the Federal Government level.
Iman Malik believes that the electronic job evaluation and description system provides high-quality services in preserving the specialization and professionalism of some jobs, as well as accurately classifing and placing each job in a specific job family. Moreover, the system allows users to search for approved job titles to determine which suits the requirements of each entity according to the functions and tasks of the job.
The Federal Government job evaluation and description system aims to link the evaluation results with the approved grades and salaries scale, in order to define the range of grades for various jobs according to the various specializations, and to set appropriate job titles that express the tasks, responsibilities and functions of a certain job, which leads to standardization of job titles in the all entities implementing the system.
