The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources: The “Jahiz” platform is a unified hub for young talents in both the public and private sectors
It was no coincidence that the”Jahiz” initiative, which aims to develop future government talent, has had such extraordinary success in such a short period of time. It was theoutcome of extraordinary efforts and hard work that elevated it to advancedlevels, surpassing the local scope and reaching a global scale. This has madeit possible for the effort to attain remarkable outcomes in terms of thequantity of employees who have profited from it, the number of future skillsprograms offered through it, and the achievement badges that have been givenout.
With the launch of the”Jahiz” initiative at the end of 2022, it initially targetedministries, federal entities, and their employees. It later expanded to includeemployees from some local governments through Memorandums of Understanding signedwith FAHR, thereby becoming the largest digital government platform that equipsgovernment employees with future skills and enhances their readiness for it.
In line with FAHR’s commitment toconstant renewal and its pursuit of diversity and inclusiveness in creatingopportunities, it announced the expansion of youth participation in the”Jahiz” platform to include young professionals in the privatesector. This announcement coincided with the World Youth Skills Day, endorsedby the United Nations General Assembly, and was made in partnership with theFederal Youth Authority as part of the approved projects for the “NationalYouth Agenda 2031.” The initiative aims to enhance the contributions ofUAE youth to the sustainable national development.
Expanding youth participation inthe “Jahiz” platform reflects the UAE’s commitment, under theleadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of theUAE, may God protect him, and the directives of his brother, His Highness SheikhMohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler ofDubai, may God protect him, to invest in developing youth capabilities. It alsoensures their empowerment with strategic skills and opportunities that enablethem to contribute to the country’s development from their roles in governmentor private sectors.
