The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), in cooperation with Al Jalila Foundation, recently launched a charity campaign as part of “Sandhman Amana” Initiative, to provide for the treatment of an elderly Asian with low income who needs urgent surgery.
In this regard, Mahmoud Al Marzouqi, Director of Government Communications Department at the Authority, said that the campaign came in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, and the World Heart Day, which fall on the first of October and 29th of September every year, respectively.
He pointed out that the charity campaign is continuation to a series of community and humanitarian initiatives launched by the Authority, as part of its interaction with the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, naming 2019 as Year of Tolerance.
HE added: “The Authority has publicized the campaign at the Federal Government level to allow the opportunity for the largest number of employees of the ministries and federal entities to participate in community work and charitable giving by contributing saving the patient’s life. through their various social networking accounts or via the Federal Government’s HR Management Information System (BAYANATI).”
Al Marzouqi called on all community segments to support the campaign by donating AED 10 by sending SMS "Sanad" via Etisalat and du, to number 4202, or AED 50 by sending the same word to number 4206, or AED 100 to number 4209 and AED 500 to number 4409.
It should be noted that the Authority seeks through its community-based initiatives, to maximize the benefits gained within and outside the country, establish principles of volunteerism and philanthropy, foster a spirit of social responsibility, and promote employee loyalty and happiness by volunteering.
