A program tailored to build young Emirati capacities in the field of sustainability Opening the door for nominations to join the UAE Sustainability Fellowship Program in the government sector
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced the opening of nominations to join the UAE Sustainability Fellowship Program in the government sector, in its second session, which is implemented by the Middle East and Africa Sustainability Institute, in cooperation with the ADNOC Group, and targets young leaders in the UAE government.
The program, which is held under the patronage of Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, Chairwoman of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, aims to build the capacities of 20 government officials in emerging trends in the field of sustainability, and to learn about global best practices to lead government efforts in shaping a more sustainable future.
The “Authority” called on ministries and federal entities – in a special circular – to nominate their employees who meet the conditions for joining the program, which is delivered virtually and lasts for three months, with the aim of empowering young Emirati leaders in the field of sustainability, nurturing and advancing national talents, in order to effectively achieve the UAE’s national sustainability ambitions and lead the local and regional sustainability scene.
About the program
The program reflects the UAE government’s commitment to fostering green skills among government leaders and integrating sustainability into government training agendas and programs, and therefore addressing the global environmental challenges and achieving sustainability goals and enhancing environmental awareness, supporting the country’s efforts to address urgent climate challenges and achieve the goals of the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy.
It targets young Emirati leaders in the federal government within the age group of 18 to 35 years, who are specialists and interested in sustainability, noting that the program is free and does not require full-time dedication.
