Expanding “Jahiz” platform to include youth from the government and private sectors

Coordinated with the World Youth Skills Day designated by the United Nations General Assembly, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), in partnership with the Federal Youth Foundation, announced launching a set of specific initiatives to expand the participation of young people from the government and private sectors in “Jahiz”, the largest national platform for developing future skills in the UAE, within the approved projects of the “National Youth Agenda 2031”, with the aim of enhancing contributions of the UAE young people to the process of sustainable national development.

In this context, H.E Laila Al Suwaidi, the Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources said “Expanding youth participation in the ‘Jahiz’ platform reflects the approach of diversity and inclusiveness to create opportunities and enhance future skills in all sectors. This reflects the keenness of UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State – may God protect him – and the directives of his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai – may God protect him – to invest in development of the capabilities of young people and empower them with strategic skills and opportunities that ensure their participation in advancing the development process in the state through their positions in government and private entities”.

She added, “Empowering young people for the future on the ‘Jahiz’ platform entrenches a culture of continuous learning and self-development, and contributes to advancing institutional transformation efforts towards achieving readiness for the future by raising efficiency and performance and developing capabilities to find sustainable solutions, aiming to keep pace with the challenges of the digital age and leading its transformations towards opportunities that enhance the distinguished position of UAE in the fields of development and global leadership”.

In the same vein, Khaled Al Nuaimi, the Acting Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, said “The vision of the wise leadership has always been a motive for young people to take advantage of all available capabilities to develop their skills and enhance their talents in line with the requirements of sustainable development, which confirms the importance of the approach to investing in youth through a national plan associated with them that gives them opportunities to qualify their capabilities and gain knowledge and practical experiences. We are pleased to be a part of expanding youth participation in the “Jahiz” platform, which aims to develop their skills and talents in accordance with the requirements of the future in the government and private sectors, within a strategic partnership that seeks to provide all the elements that give young people new horizons to accomplish achievements. Thus, we invite them to join the platform and benefit from the available training programs and opportunities”.

The last initiatives of “Jahiz” come as a part of the cooperation agreement between FAHR and the Foundation, which aims to empower young people with future skills. In its new version, the platform relies on artificial intelligence technologies to provide personalized educational content commensurate with the path of each employee. It involves a wide range of future skills such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, project management, achievement acceleration, and specialized skills in human resources and cybersecurity. In addition, “Jahiz” expanded its network of strategic partners to include local and international experts in order to ensure provision of practical, innovative and renewable skillful content to keep pace with developments and institutions’ needs for new skills.
