FNC Social Affairs, Labor, Population, and Human Resources Committee discusses Efforts to Enhance the Efficiency of Workers in the Government Sector

In the presence of H.E Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the FNC Social Affairs, Labor, Population, and Human Resources Committee discussed, during a special meeting chaired by H.E Maryam Majid bin Theneya, the Second Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council, the and Chairwoman of the Committee, the government’s policy regarding enhancing the efficiency of workers in the government sector.

The meeting was attended by committee members, including H.E Sheikha Saeed Al Kaabi, the committee rapporteur, and FNC members Ahmad Mir Hashim Khouri, Salem Rashid Al Maftool, and Mona Rashid Tahnoon, as well as several leaders from the FAHR.

The meeting discussed the importance of legislation and its alignment with modern developments in training and development; enhancing institutional innovation and functional efficiency; the readiness of human resources for future jobs; the need to connect educational outcomes with future labor market jobs; the necessity for career guidance and counseling for recent graduates; how development and training programs address the needs of people of determination and enhance their job efficiency; and the strategies for attracting and retaining talent.

Further, the committee discussed the government’s policy on enhancing the efficiency of workers in the government sector within two main areas: activating legislation and aligning it with modern developments in training and development, and the policies and strategies for training and education and their impact on the development of future skills.
