The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued a special circular regarding the official working hours for federal government sector employees during the holy month of Ramadan, for the year 1446 AH.

The official working hours for ministries and federal entities in the holy month of Ramadan – according to the circular – are from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm, from Monday until Thursday. On Friday, the working hours are from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, except for those whose work nature requires otherwise.

FAHR stressed that ministries and federal entities may – and according to the work interest – continue to implement the flexible work regulations approved by them, during working days in the holy month of Ramadan, in accordance with the principles contained therein, and within the limits of the number of approved working hours per day, with the possibility of granting flexibility to working employees to work remotely on Fridays during the month of Ramadan, and at a rate not exceeding 70% of the total number of the entity’s employees, according to the approved terms.

On this occasion, FAHR extended its sincere wishes to the leadership, government, citizens and residents of the UAE, and the Arab and Islamic nations, praying God Almighty to bless them with abundant health and well-being.
