The “Authority” App Wins CIPD’s Middle East Award for 2024
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has recorded a new achievement, adding to the series of successes it has made over the past years, at the regional and local levels, as its Smart Application FAHR won the Middle East Human Resources Award, which is overseen by the British Institute for Human Resources Development “Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development” (CIPD).
FAHR’s Smart Application won first place in the CIPD Middle East People Award in the category of the Best Initiative for Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in the field of Human Resources for the year 2024.
In this regard, Asem Al Awadhi, Director of the Human Resources Management Information System Department at the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), said that winning the prestigious award in the Middle East reflects the Authority’s position and ability to compete globally, and highlights the important role played by its Smart Application in improving the user experience of Federal Government employees and enabling them to complete Human Resources procedures and processes easily and quickly, utilizing the latest Artificial Intelligence technologies and advanced digital features.
He considered this win as a qualitative addition to the series of successes achieved by the Authority and the list of awards won by its strategic initiatives over the past years, reflecting the vital role it plays in the development of human capital in the Federal Government by investing in the best digital systems and AI technologies, in line with the rapid and remarkable development in this field.
The evaluation process went through several stages presenting the smart application and its AI-enhanced features, especially those related to the performance management system and the training and development system, where individual employee goals, programs and training courses related to the nature of the employee’s work were proposed through artificial intelligence.
The FAHR was honored during a special award ceremony held in Dubai, with the participation of a number of government and private entities, working teams, and individuals who won in the various categories of the Award, who proved their ability to innovate and impact the management and development of human capital. The FAHR was represented by Mahmood Al Qatan, Head of Statistics and Information Integration Section at the Authority.
The Awards of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) are designed to honor individuals and organizations that have excelled in implementing innovative initiatives that support the work environment and using advanced technologies that contribute to supporting the strategic directions of entities and improving their operational performance. The final nominations are evaluated according to four criteria namely: Leadership, Innovation, Business Alignment and Impact.
