77,000 HR procedures through Smart App ‘FAHR’ since its launch

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) revealed that its Smart Application (FAHR), which includes 27 primary and secondary services, benefits employees in 61 ministries and federal entities, by assisting them in completing their HR transaction in a highly interactive manner. According to competent department at the Authority, the App was downloaded more than 36,000 times since it was launched in October 2014 until the end of 2017.

Shimaa Al Awadhi, Director of Human Resources Information System, confirmed saying: “Since the launch of the Smart Application in October 2014 until the end of last year, it has been downloaded more than 36,000 times. Employees in the federal bodies have completed 77,179 HR transactions and procedures through the App, 24,993 of them during 2017 alone, while they downloaded 17,150 applications for leave and permission during the same period.

“The Federal Government employees also exchanged 38613 Maqassert Cards, an electronic thank-you card exchanged by Federal Government employees via Smart App FAHR, since the Program was launched, including 9810 cards during the past year alone. Employees of the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratization topped their counterparts in other federal bodies in terms of number of Maqassert Cards exchanged, registering a record 1156 cards last year, followed by the Ministry of Climate Change and the Environment with 1040 cards, while the Ministry of Culture and Community Development employees ranked third with 917 cards”.

Shaima Al-Awadhi pointed out that the application provides a package of services to Federal Government employees, including: Legal Consultation whereby the user can inquire about federal HR laws, policies and systems, file an objection to the Federal Objections Committee. benefit from reduced prices offered through the Federal Government employees' discounts program "Imtyazat", as well as the Federal Government employees network. They can also access the latest news of the Authority and agenda of future events and learn more about its strategic initiatives.

Regarding BAYANATI services available through the smart application, Al Awadi indicated that they include: registering for training courses through e-training and development system, inquiring about a specific vacancy in the Federal Government using e-Employment System, applying for a job, providing employee dashboard, and provide line manager’s dashboard, which enables him to follow his employees’ performance and electronically approve applications submitted by employees.

The application also facilitates direct communication with the Authority's leadership, nomination of federal government employees for awards under rewards & incentives system, and access to employee leave balance. In addition, the application provides other valuable services for employees, who can apply for, cancel or track leaves; request permissions to leave the workplace; browse and update personal data; check on monthly salary details, produce salary and to Whom It May Concern certificates, and review centers assigned to provide medical insurance.  

Evaluation of employees’ performance thru Smart App

The updated version of App FAHR enables completing all stages of electronic Performance Management System (PMS) for Federal Government employees, i.e. the three phases of the system (performance planning, interim review and final annual review).  

Dashboards for employees and officials

Smart App FAHR provides smart dashboards for employees and officials of ministries and federal entities. The most important indicators the App provides to all employees include total leave balances, number of certificates requested and issued, approved leaves, number of rewards and incentives, annual performance rating, Number of Maqassert e-Cards shared between employees, expired documents, years of service, and the percentage of Smart App usage compared to that of self-service system in BAYANATI the system.

On the other hand, senior officials’ dashboard provides accurate measurement of absence from work, the number of pending leave applications, time and attendance tracking, number of training requests, the percentage of completion of the annual evaluation stages, number of employees who completed their individual development plans, and the average employee training hours, number of employees on probation, number of Federal Government employees honoured under Rewards and Incentives System, and percentage of employees whose data has been completed in BAYANATI system.
